Often referred as the representation of the “natural American beauty”, Jennifer Aniston has a sense of style that is classic, chic, and elegant. Her style is always fitted to perfection, beautifully tailored it. Even in a pair of jeans and a blazer she looks amazing.
Her style is simple but yet glamorous. She does not abuse makeup or accessories. Her accessories are minimal, sometimes just using a big and eye catching ring in the unexpected finger or a bracelet shaped like a serpent. Her use of color is consistent and monochromatic.
She is not the one wearing the latest trends or fashion forward, but she definitely knows how to work her image of “the girl next door”. And it works perfectly for her.
I choose to reflect three different looks inspired by Jennifer Aniston sense of style.
The casual look is very simple yet chic. The softness of the tank and cardigan makes a nice contrast with the roughness of the leather in the boots and bag. The bi-tone stole is versatile and can be wear it in different ways, straight down for a slender effect or around the neck for a more hip look.
The second look is semi-formal, and I envisioned that can be wear for a business meeting. The accessories are simplistic, but the textures of the belt and specially the cuff, are eye catching, as well as the unexpected color chosen for the shoes, a bright red that brings up the color of the dress.
The last look, for a red carpet event, tries to be consistent with the overall image of this actress. From the image I choose I will keep the dress and the clutch, but I will change the jewelry that Garner is wearing for a diamond ring and nothing else, that way the shine of the accessories are not competing with the shine of the bottom part of the dress
Bai Ling
Bai Ling has an unique approach to fashion.
In my professional opinion, the most important areas that need improvement are: color, and pieces/accessories coordination.
I would consider developing a new image and style based on her taste for fashion forward garments and bright hues, considering the best colors to wear in relation to her skin tone.
She seems to have a great and fun personality so I think that these features need to be reflected in her wardrobe as well.
The looks that I created for Bai Ling are inspired by her unique personality. I tried to reflect that in the clothes and accessories that I chose to present.
The first look is semi-formal, but edgy. The origami skirt gives a texture that is playful yet elegant. The emerald color of the shoes and the ring lights up the otherwise monochromatic outfit. And the clutch, paired with the studded glove, complements the idea of edginess. I kept the top very simple to draw attention to the colorful accessories and the pattern in the skirt.
The second look is an animal-print silk dress covered in ruffles with an irregular skirt, paired with animal print shoes and a leather jacket which reflects the “wild” side of Bai Ling. I added a multi-chain necklace and a fun charm brooch.
Lastly, I chose a gold dress for a red carpet event that is sexy. The eccentric clutch expresses a fashion forward sense. The shoes are simple, matching the gold of the dress.
